When I was little, one of my great-aunts used to walk me and one of my cousins around her neighborhood. She would pick up money that she found on the ground; sometimes it would be a penny, sometimes a dime. I used to always wonder, “Why is she picking up that money from the dirty ground? It’s just a penny!” But now, I see why she was picking up that money and I can’t blame her for doing so. Being a broke college student made me realize the value of a dollar. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure and money is precious; so please be sure to spend your money wisely and don’t waste it on things that you don’t need.
P.S. Thank you Auntie for teaching me that valuable lesson. I love you and you will be forever missed.
